Three Pillars of Regenerative Organic Farming
SOIL HEALTH: Planting cover crops, crop rotation to prevent soil erosion and pests. building organic matter to promote biodiversity and prevent diseases and pests with no use of chemicals. The soil improves by manure application.
ANIMAL WELFARE: Includes organic livestock management; grass fed, and pasture raised with restrictions on use of antibiotics and hormones. Organic livestock benefit people and the environment, and livestock raised organically have a better quality of live.
SOCIAL FARENESS: Fair payment and living wages for farmers and farm workers, safe working conditions and capacity building. The welfare of human beings on the farm as is vital in regenerative organic farming. (Rodale Institute 2024)
